1. About these Terms
These Terms apply to all orders and to your use of our website. We may update them from time to time; the version in force at the time of your order applies to that order. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to purchase from us.
3. Products & descriptions
We take care to describe products accurately, including specifications and manufacturer approvals. However:
- Product images are for illustration; packaging may vary.
- You are responsible for confirming a product suits your vehicle. Use our Oil Finder or contact us if unsure.
- Specifications are provided by manufacturers and may change without notice.
4. Pricing
- All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless stated otherwise.
- Shipping is additional and calculated at checkout. See Shipping & Delivery.
- We try to keep pricing accurate but errors can occur. If a product is listed at an incorrect price, we may cancel the order and refund you in full before dispatch.
5. Orders & acceptance
- Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract forms only when we send you a dispatch confirmation.
- We may decline or cancel an order (e.g. stock unavailable, pricing error, suspected fraud, delivery restrictions for dangerous goods). If we cancel a paid order, you'll receive a full refund.
6. Payment
Payment is processed via our third-party payment provider. See Payment & Security. We do not store full card details on our servers. [Payment methods and provider to be confirmed once the gateway is live — ___].
7. Shipping & delivery
Delivery times are estimates only. Some products are classified as dangerous goods and may be subject to carrier and destination restrictions. Full details: Shipping & Delivery.
8. Returns, refunds & consumer guarantees
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Our returns process, including the treatment of consumable products such as opened oil, is set out in Returns & Refunds and Warranty. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the ACL.
9. Correct product selection
You are responsible for selecting products appropriate to your vehicle and use. Using an incorrect oil grade or specification may affect your vehicle's performance or warranty. We provide tools and support to help, but final selection is yours.
10. Safety & handling
Automotive lubricants and chemicals must be handled, stored and disposed of safely and lawfully. Safety Data Sheets are available — see Safety Data Sheets. Dispose of used oil at an approved facility; never pour it down drains or into the environment.
11. Intellectual property
All content on this site (text, images, logos, layout) is owned by or licensed to PitStop Auto and protected by law. "Penrite" and other brand names and logos are the property of their respective owners and used to describe the genuine products we sell. You may not reproduce our content without permission.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, or use the site for unlawful purposes.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and without limiting your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, our liability for any claim is limited (at our option) to replacing the goods, resupplying them, or refunding the price paid. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss that is not reasonably foreseeable.
14. Privacy
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. See our Privacy Policy.
