Not sure which oil? We are.
Using the wrong oil is the fastest way to shorten an engine's life — and the label alone won't tell you what your engine needs. Viscosity, ACEA/API standards and manufacturer approvals all have to line up.
- Check the handbook first. Your manufacturer specifies both a viscosity (like 5W-30) and a standard (like ACEA C3 or API SP).
- DPF-equipped diesel? You need a low or mid SAPS oil (ACEA C1/C2/C3) — the wrong oil can clog your particulate filter.
- Older engine? Higher-viscosity oils like 15W-50 or 20W-60 keep oil pressure healthy in high-kilometre engines.
