Products & Compatibility
How do I know which oil is right for my car?
The safest way is to use our Oil Finder — enter your registration (rego) or select your make, model and year, and we'll show you the oils that meet your manufacturer's specification. You can also check your owner's handbook for the required viscosity grade (e.g. 5W-30) and approval (e.g. dexos, ACEA C3). If you're still unsure, get in touch with your VIN or rego and we'll confirm the correct product for you.
Are your Penrite oils genuine?
Yes. We stock 100% genuine Penrite products sourced through legitimate Australian supply. Penrite is an iconic Australian-owned brand, and every product we sell is authentic, in-date and stored correctly.
What's the difference between the grades (0W-20, 5W-30, 15W-50)?
The numbers describe the oil's viscosity (thickness) at cold and operating temperatures. Using the wrong grade can affect fuel economy, engine protection and even void your warranty. See our plain-English guide: Oil Grades Explained.
Can I use a diesel oil in a petrol engine (or vice versa)?
Not always — many oils are formulated for a specific engine type or emissions system. Always match the manufacturer specification. If in doubt, use our Oil Finder or ask us before ordering.
Do you supply Safety Data Sheets (SDS)?
Yes. We can provide the current SDS for any lubricant we sell. See Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for how to request one.
Ordering
How do I place an order?
Add products to your cart, proceed to checkout, and follow the prompts. See How to Order & Track for a step-by-step guide.
Do I need an account to order?
[Guest checkout available: yes/no — ___]. Creating an account lets you track orders, reorder quickly and view your history.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
If your order hasn't shipped yet, contact us as soon as possible and we'll do our best to amend or cancel it. Once an order is dispatched it can't be changed, but you may still have return rights — see Returns & Refunds.
Do you offer trade or bulk pricing?
Yes. Mechanics, workshops and fleet operators can apply for a trade account with volume pricing. See Trade & Wholesale.
Pricing & Payment
Are your prices in Australian dollars?
Yes. All prices are shown in AUD and include GST unless otherwise stated.
What payment methods do you accept?
[Payment methods will be confirmed once the client's payment gateway is live — ___]. See Payment & Security for general information on how we protect your details.
Is checkout secure?
Yes. Our site uses encrypted (SSL/TLS) connections, and payments are processed by a trusted third-party provider. We never store your full card details on our servers. See Payment & Security.
Shipping & Delivery
How much is shipping?
Freight is calculated at checkout based on weight and your delivery location. Oil is heavy (5–10L containers), so freight reflects real courier costs. See Shipping & Delivery.
How long will delivery take?
Typically [metro: 2–5 business days; regional/remote: 5–10 business days — ___] after dispatch. Full estimates by state are in Shipping & Delivery.
Can I track my order?
Yes. You'll receive a tracking number by email once your order ships. See How to Order & Track.
Do you ship to PO Boxes or remote areas?
[PO Box / remote area policy: ___]. Some heavy or dangerous-goods items may have delivery restrictions — we'll contact you if there's an issue.
Returns & Warranty
Can I return oil if I ordered the wrong grade?
Because engine oil is a consumable, we can generally only accept returns of unopened, unused products in original condition. Change-of-mind returns are at our discretion. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law for faulty products always apply. See Returns & Refunds.
What if my product arrives damaged or leaking?
Contact us within [timeframe: e.g. 48 hours — ___] with photos and we'll arrange a replacement or refund. See Returns & Refunds and Warranty.
Do products come with a warranty?
Genuine products carry the manufacturer's warranty where applicable, and you're always covered by the consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law. See Warranty.
