Shipping & Delivery
We ship genuine Penrite oils and auto maintenance products Australia-wide. Because oil is heavy and some products are classified as dangerous goods, please read the details below so you know exactly what to expect.
All prices on our site are in AUD and include GST. Shipping is calculated separately at checkout.
How shipping is calculated
Freight is quoted at checkout based on:
- Weight and volume — oil ships in 5L, 7L and 10L containers, which are heavy. Freight reflects real courier costs for heavy goods.
- Your delivery postcode — metro, regional and remote areas are priced differently.
- Dangerous goods handling — some lubricants require compliant packaging and carriers (see below).

Estimated delivery times
Delivery times are estimates from the date of dispatch (not order), and can vary during peak periods:

Dangerous goods & heavy freight
Engine oils and some automotive chemicals may be classified as dangerous goods (DG) or restricted for air freight. As a result:
- Some products can only be sent by road freight, which may take longer to remote areas.
- Certain items may not be deliverable to PO Boxes, Parcel Lockers, or by air to some remote postcodes.
- All DG items are packaged in compliance with Australian transport regulations.
If any item in your order is affected, we'll contact you before dispatch.
Tracking your order
Once your order ships, we'll email you a tracking number and a link to follow your parcel. You can also find tracking details in your account under order history. See How to Order & Track.
Delivery, authority to leave & missed deliveries
- Signature on delivery may be required for heavy or high-value orders.
- You may be able to nominate an Authority to Leave (ATL) at checkout. If you choose ATL, PitStop Auto is not responsible for loss or theft once the parcel is delivered to your nominated location.
- If you're not home and no ATL is set, the courier will leave a card or arrange redelivery/collection per their process.
Incorrect address & failed delivery
Please double-check your delivery address at checkout. If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect address or repeated failed delivery, re-delivery fees may apply.
Damaged or missing items
